Since I signed up here like, two years ago, I figured I'd try and actually make something here. I imagine we will probably still continue to do a lot of scheduling and confirming on Twitter, but having a method to do so here might be helpful, and maybe reduce some Twitter spam (it gets pretty tough to nail down a plan in 140 characters when you're tweeting at 5-8 people…).
Anyway, I consider The Backloggery to be a group of modest needs, so I deleted most of the Guild Works website features and just left Albums, Roster, and Schedule. Looking at silly/pretty pictures and being sure everyone knows when to show up for stuff is basically all we need, right? This should help keep things simple, which I hope will encourage us to actually use this.
I suppose this is kind of just an experiment for now, but if we're gonna use it, we need to use it and get everyone on board, or else it won't be very useful at all. Don't worry, I have no intention of making all plans on here and not tweeting about it or anything, but let's try to see if we like using this. I'm pretty slow about getting into the habit of using new websites, but if we keep things simple here, it might not be a bad thing at all.
The best part about THIS though is the Guildwork plugin for that Windower thingy (if you use it.) Has all kinds of neat features. My personal favourite being:
Note in the very top left! If there's an event on the schedule page, it'll give you a small ticker 24 hours in advance to remind you. :D And posting screenshots directly to the site like this one! It's all really very exciting. xD
Plus there's the whole in-game friend list, chat, etc etc.
